The world’s leading scientists to present materials of the future in Moscow

From 30 September to 2 October, 2015, NUST MISiS will be hosting a number of round-tables and seminars with participation of the world’s leading scientists from MIT, Cambridge, Stanford, Technion and other world-class centres for research and education. The participants will be talking about current developments and new achievements in materials science, metallurgy, mining and nanotechnology.

The round-tables that the members of the International Scientific Advisory Council at NUST MISiS will be participating in are dedicated to various aspects of materials science: nanostructured materials in medicine, nanoparticles, nanostructured coatings and biomolecules, high-strength nanomaterials, metallic glasses, new materials and systems for energy generation, etc.

The round-tables will bring together NUST MISiS’s  leading scientists: Dmitri Golberg, Evgeny Levashov, Sergei Kaloshkin, Denis Kuznetsov, Sergei Mukhin, Sergei Prokoshkin and many others.
The foreign scientists will be visiting as part of the fourth meeting of NUST  MISiS’s International Scientific Advisory Council. Established to attract the world’s best scientific expertise to NUST MISiS, the Council promotes the development of cooperation between the university and world-class centres for research and education.

In addition, members of the International Scientific Advisory Council of NUST MISiS will be shown the latest results of the project to develop an unmanned vehicle with KAMAZ as the prototype. This project is being carried out by members of the consortium of  JSC KAMAZ, the Cognitive Technologies group and NUST MISiS.

“The fact that leading scientists from world-class science centres actively participate in our university’s activities is very important for us. Members of the International Scientific Advisory Council along with their collegues at NUST MISiS discuss current trends, recent advances and developments in their professional fields. And the really important part is that it is not only our scientists and tutors who participate in public lectures, round-tables and other activities, but students as well”, noticed Alevtina Chernikova, Rector of  NUST MISiS.
